Interior | Brick Walls, Fairy Lights and Candles

You've probably all realised I have a real love for fashion, as I run a fashion blog (duh), but what you may not know is my keen interest in interior design. Recently I've been dreaming  about what my future home would look like way too much and would even consider a career in it if fashion falls through. This enthusiasm has significantly increased over the past few weeks after bonding over brick walls, fairly lights and candles with Katie from Scarphelia. Katie put into the most wonderful words all the images I had been conjuring up in my head over the past year or so in this post on her blog.
I just imagine myself in an apartment lined with brick walls, all but one which is a blackboard type of wall where friends would scrawl cute messages and just nonsense across. Candles would be found in every corner and fairy lights would be draped over the curtain poles. I shan't babble on any longer because Katie already did a fantastic job writing about my dream home over on her blog, so go and have a little look!

Where do you wish to see yourself living in the future?

Magic Carpet Prints & Leather

Remind me not to wear black eye shadow  My attempt at a smokey eye has left me resembling a freakish  looking vampire. Anywho, I've been meaning to show you this uh-mazing skirt I received for Christmas last year. Called the 'magic carpet' skirt, it's exquisite detail and awesome colour pallet make a great combination. Decided to keep the rest of my outfit pretty plain and simple ,to let the skirt do all the talking! I've got a couple of 18th birthday parties coming up, so this is an option. I'm not the biggest party person so I don't have much 'party wear' in my wardrobe, but I'm slowly starting to accumulate more outgoing/dressy stuff over the past few months.

Also, who else was super psyched  about the rare dose of sunshine London received these last few days. Despite temperature staying still quite chilly, the sun has made me crave summer even more!
Talking of summer, it's made me realise I finish year 13, thus school in general, this summer and the start of July will mark the start of my gap year. I'm super excited, and at the same time extremely scared. My life is actually going to begin in just over 4 months time. And that's a scary though for me, extremely scary!

I'm wearing UO skirt and clutch, The Kooples tee, Topshop leather jacket and snood and New look boots

Style Icon | Emmanuelle Alt

So this is my second in hopefully many more 'style Icon' posts, where at least once a month, I enlighten you all to who I'm currently style crushing on! This month, it has to be the amazing Emmanuelle Alt, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Paris (eeep!). After seeing her crop up countless occasions on my favourite blog of all time, Garance DorĂ©, I've fallen even more in love with the Editor's style. The true definition of French Chic, Emmanuelle Alt is famous for her distinctive look of extremely slim trousers or jeans,  her enviable collection of beautifully tailored coats and jackets and an undeniable devotee to the colour black. Alt lets her clothes do the talking, while keeping hair and makeup very minimal  but still very pristine and chic. (when you're talking about French fashion, the word 'chic' is going to be said way too many times!) With her husband being the creative director of Isabel Marant, it's unsurprising her wardrobe is full of the brand, as well as other renowned French designers, such as Balmain. If we were to compare Emmuanlle's style to a high street brand, I would definitely head to Zara. Full of timeless pieces, Zara is the perfect place to find elegant yet modern clothing.

Now, after spending a week attached to my laptop, catching up on all the fashion weeks and reading a gazillion blogs, it's time to return back to reality, which means school (sob) and the huge pile of homework I've left until the last minute (totally regret it now!) Speak soon!

little disclaimer - just wanted to let you know, none of these photos are mine,  I do not own any rights, all found from Google

Oxblood and Metallics

oxblood and metallics

Topshop hat, ASOS hoops, Topshop polo neck, Proenza Schouler bag, Mary Katrantzou skirt, Twenty8twelve leather gillet and Acne boots.

I've been spending way too much time on Polyvore recently (while I'm not streaming Fashion Week shows!), it's too addictive. Nonetheless, here's an outfit I created after stumbling across this amazing Mary Karantzou skirt. The pattern is not too in your face, but it's still ever so eye catching. I then thought it would go great with burgundy accents  such as this Proenza Schouler bag.

OOTD | A Dark Ensemble

Quite a dark and dreary outfit, I admit, but I've finally stopped wearing my Kooples Tee in all my outfit posts consectuvely (horaah!) and remembered I had bought this net top back in the January sales. I paired it with a  faux leather skirt, just to liven things up with the top's hint of sparkle. And yes, I thought I'd try the famous coat on the shoulder thing everyone at LFW has been doing. I feel slightly like a superhero (though more granny chic), with the coat as a cape draped round my shoulders, but who are we kidding. Personally  I think a coat is made to keep me warm and snug, and having it slung across me certainly doesn't do that. But alas, it's fashion daaahing!

I'm wearing a Mango coat, Urban Outfitters top, River Island Skirt, New Look boots and Mango cuff.
